Bionic Pet Products would like to extend its love and support to all those affected by the Boston bombings that occurred on Monday. One distraction that is helping victims and other Boston locals are Therapy Dogs. Many studies have proven many health benefits of canines through their cuddles and warmth exist. The Comfort Dogs working specifically in Boston this week have been deployed by Lutheran Church Charities from Addison, Ill. and we could not be more grateful for their service.
President of Lutheran Church Charities told Today.com “people talk to the dogs- they’re like furry counselors…They bring a calming effect to people and help them process the various emotions that they go through in times likes this.”
15 year old victim David Yepez, who is recovering from being injured in the bombings told Today.com, “It’s relaxing- takes my mind off of what happened…to have a moment of peace.”
Have you or a friend ever participated in Dog Therapy? We would love to hear about your experience to get the word out about these great programs. Once again, our hearts go out to Boston, and to those aiding in the assistance of all those harmed. We hope justice will be served soon.
